do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future,

concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Welcome.

At the end of June 2007, with two bags weighing no more than 15 kilos each, we set out for a 9 month journey around the Pacific Ocean. Our apartment was rented, the car was stored, bills were on automatic payment and we'd said goodbye to friends and family - all that was left was ahead of us.

Our route, the Circle of Fire around the Pacific Ocean, gave us a rough idea of where we would go, though most of the travel was planned on the road. We had airplane tickets for the major distances, including the one at the end that would get us back home. We had two pre-planned dates (Galapagos and the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu), that set a structure for the otherwise spontaneous travel.

The journey turned into 10 and these are our chronicles from the road: moments of joy, surprise, appreciation and acceptance.

Home for just over a month, we found out that our next journey would keep us a bit close to home. On March 22, 2009, our son was born, in water at home. Join us then for our trip as 2 and our life now as 3.
